Christ Centered & Cross Focused
Crossway Bible College seeks to honor and glorify Christ, and endeavors to create an atmosphere that invites the reign of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 is our focus: “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.
Jesus made a comment during His earthly ministry that was absolutely astonishing. He said that apart from the Father, He could do nothing (John 5:19). And then Jesus told His disciples that apart from Him we could do nothing (John 15:5). The walk of faith is a walk of dependence. Jesus declared, “God blesses those who realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them” (Matthew 5:3, NLT). True ministries are not built on personality, charisma, trends, or gimmicks. True ministries are built on character, child-like faith, prayer, and radical obedience to Jesus Christ.
Aligning Scriptural integrity with Spirit dependence
Whatever the Spirit does harmonizes with what the Word of God says, and the Spirit will never go where the Word does not go. With this foundation, Crossway Bible College will compel students to be both Scripture-filled and Spirit-filled. Our goal is to have orthodoxyon fire.
Leadership training for servant ministry to the local church
The call of ministry is one in which we take up the basin and the towel (John 13:1-17) as servant leaders. The privilege of ministry is to equip people to fulfill their God-given destiny. At Crossway Bible College, we are passionate about the local Church–not as abuilding or as an organization, but as a people and as an organism.
The Church is...
- the chosen vessel of God through which Jesus Christ is known to the world
- the God ordained vehicle for proclaiming the Gospel
- the community of God, where we pray for, care for, encourage and nurture one another
- and the hope of the world
